BASI Coaching Courses
This year, BASI is piloting a collaboration with the Canadian Ski Coaches’ Federation (CSCF) to help develop a cutting edge race coaching pathway for British coaches. Through this collaboration, successful candidates will earn a qualification that gives them access to the North American and Australian race coaching market.
The BASI/CSCF Level 1 Coach course is the entry level qualifications to those coming into race coaching. There are no prerequisites to candidates attending this course and the BASI/CSCF Level 1 Coach is a performance module that counts towards the BASI Ski Teacher ‘International Ski Instructors’ Association (ISIA)’ qualification.
For all the BASI Technical Coaching courses the wearing of helmets is compulsory for the duration of the time on snow.
IASI RPM
The IASI RPM has been developed over the past 5 years to be the entry level coaching qualification in the IASI ski coaching system. The RPM is a performance module that counts towards the IASI ISIA award.
