Our European base is the little Swiss resort of Saas Grund in the bottom of the beautiful Saas valley, the valley where Swiss alpine legend Permin Zurbriggen grew up and learnt to ski.
From this base we have access to ten months of skiing and snowboarding: at Europe's best training glacier, Saas Fee, from June until December, followed by fantastic training on Hohsaas out of Saas Grund for the main Winter months.
Saas Fee glacier is now the preferred glacier of choice for most European ski and snowboard teams, combining as it does one of the best terrain parks and half pipes on any European glacier with excellent race training potential and a permanent skier cross course.
Hohsaas, by contrast, is a smaller, more family-orientated ski area, serviced by only two gondolas, a T-bar and a button lift. It is most definitely not on the major European package tour itinerary, but with a top station at 3200 metres, excellent pitches for training Slalom and GS and its own small glacier for mornings of Super G, it provides excellent space to practice all manner of race training.
