1. Booking on a course
a) Upon completion of the Booking Form, you accept the Terms and Conditions of the booking.
b) If you are under 18 years of age you must ensure that the Parental Consent form is signed by a parent or guardian. c) For Individuals a place will be booked for you on your chosen course on receipt of your signed and completed Booking Form. Your Form must be accompanied by the full payment for your course.
d) In the event that you submit a Booking Form but BACE is unable to confirm your chosen course, all monies paid by you will be transferable or refundable until confirmation takes place.
e) Clubs or organisations can negotiate alternative booking arrangements with BACE which will be subject to a signed written contract.
2. Late Bookings and Payments
a) Unless otherwise negotiated, the full balance of the course fee must be paid prior to you being accepted on the course.
b) If you arrive at resort, having not paid the balance, as detailed on your invoice for your course, you will NOT be accepted on to the course until all fees are settled.
3.Contact Details
a) All course invoices and resources will be sent to the address supplied on your Booking Form.
b) It is your responsibility to keep the BACE office informed of any change of address after booking on to a course. This must be confirmed in writing by, email, to the BACE office.
4. Courses
a) Courses cancelled within 6 weeks of the course start date will incur charges in line with our cancellation policy. For simplicity the BACE cancellation policy is the same as the BASI cancellation policy. BACE strongly recommends that you have insurance which includes cover for cancellation/curtailment against this eventuality.
b) Courses cancelled more than 6 weeks prior to the course start date are eligible for a refund.
5. Accommodation
a) The cancellation of accommodation will incur charges in line with our cancellation policy (see section 5 below).
b) Changes to a booking are defined by BACE as the "cancellation and/or alteration to a booking" for accommodation.
c) Changes to your booking will only be accepted by BACE up to four weeks prior to your course start date. Any changes must be confirmed by you in, email.
d) BACE will make an administration charge of £40 for any change made to your booking after it has been invoiced.
e) Changes to your booking will not be implemented until your administration fee is paid in full.
6. Client Cancellation Policy
a) BACE strongly recommends that you have insurance which includes cover for cancellation & curtailment when booking a BACE course.
b) If you cancel more than 6 weeks prior to the course start date, you will forfeit 50% of the course fee. c) If you cancel less than 6 weeks prior to the course start date, you will forfeit 90% of the course fee. d) Cancellation must be notified IN WRITING ONLY to BACE by, email only. Verbal instructions to cancel are not acceptable and will not be acted upon by the BACE Office.
7. BACE Cancellation Policy.
a) BACE reserves the right to cancel or relocate courses at any time prior to the course date. In this eventuality BACE will refund any monies paid to BACE, however BACE will not be liable for costs associated with travel arrangements made with third parties or loss of income.
8. BACE Force Major Policy.
a) If the venue of the course is adversely affected by snow, weather or any other circumstances, BACE reserves the right to cancel the course or alter the venue without prior notice or warning.
9. Bad Behaviour
BACE reserves the right to remove you from the course if:-
a) you are found to exhibit behavior which is deemed to be inappropriate, unprofessional and/or detrimental to other members on the course;
b) you are found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or addictive substances, during course contact time.
10. In the event that an applicant is refused training on the basis of paragraph 8, no monies will be refunded.
11. Minimum Ability Threshold
Candidates must be honest in their personal appraisal of their own abilities when booking on a course. BACE reserves the right to refuse training to any applicant who, in the opinion of BACE:-
a) does not meet, or is not likely to meet, the minimum standard for the appropriate grade.
b) is unsuitable for Snowsport Instructor training, or will be unsafe to participate in race training.
12. Helmets
As the principal business of BACE is race training, and as FIS make the wearing of helmets compulsory in all competitions, it is a policy of BACE that all clients must be wearing a helmet at all times whilst on snow.
13. Injuries on Course
No monies will be refunded by BACE in the event of an injury sustained either before or whilst participating in the course, where injury leads to curtailment of the course; in this instance, it is necessary to make an insurance claim.

BACE will not be liable for any physical or financial hardship which may be incurred whilst attending a BACE course.
15. Insurance.
All students must be insured for their course and it is imperative that all students arrive on the course with insurance. All students will be asked to show a copy of their insurance prior to the start of the course and will not be allowed to participate in the course if they can not demonstrate that they have insurance. . BACE can recommend BASI to arrange insurance only for UK residents whose outward journey immediately prior to the course starts in the UK, and whose return journey immediately after the course finishes in the UK.
16.
You agree that except for death or personal injury arising through the negligence of BACE, BACE shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising whether in respect of death, bodily injury, illness suffered or loss, costs or damages or expenses incurred.
17.
Anyone who completes a booking form, to apply to attend a BACE course, is agreeing to abide by these aforementioned conditions.
